Now we are going to take a little time to get the game configured. You already have mastered the video setup, but now we need to get into the game itself and finish the configuration.
The following links assume you are already at the main menu of the game, which has the options listed as shown on the right.
Select Offline Practice for the purposes of configuring the game.
You will see several progress indicators flashing by as the game loads the data needed and after these are done, you will find yourself in the tower as pictured on the right (only it looks better full screen).
Take a moment to view the information available in the tower. You see the chalkboard? It has information about the field you are located at. The clipboard also shows your (represented by a small plane) location.
The dark bar in the lower left corner is where text from other players shows up and can be moved by holding the left mouse button down and dragging it.
The greenish/yellow text in the top center of the screen is information about your systems performance and can be turned off.
These will be covered as we go forward, but first let's get to configuring the rest of the game!
It is time to get your input devices setup and configured for use in the game. Let's start with the joystick.
