Welcome to Aces High II
When the game starts, you are presented with the Aces High II splash screen. The first time Aces High II starts, or after any major updates to the game, you will see progress indicators showing the game creating the cache files for the game. This will only happen when you change certain video settings or when we release an update to the game. After the various files are cached, the progress indicators will clear and you will be presented with the clipboard in front of the splash screen.
At the bottom of the clipboard you will find various options you can select with your mouse. Note: They work in here too.
Online Arenas Select this option when you are ready to go online and connect to our massive online arenas. You must have already created your account before you can use this option. First time users are allowed 2 weeks of free time in the online arenas. Your time starts the moment you connect to one of our arenas and cannot be stopped. Offline Practice You can use this option to go into a stand-alone mode of the game. This allows you to practice flying, and configuring the many options available in the game, such as your joystick, keyboard commands, and so on. Using this option to get use to the interface and how the game works would be the best way to prepare for the online experience. Choose Terrain When going Offline, or setting up a LAN room, you would use this option to select which terrain the game will use. Training This feature will be coming soon! Account Admin Use this option to create and manage your account. Accounts are free. You will not have to pay until you have chosen to subscribe to our online arenas. Video Settings This option allows to go in and re configure your video settings. Web Page Help All the help for Aces High II is WEB based, so when you select this option, it will invoke your Internet WEB browser and take you to the help pages. Quit Use this option to exit the game and return back to your Windows desktop. You are almost ready to hop into the cockpit and start flying, but you need to create an account for online use. Don't worry, it costs you nothing to have an account, so let's get to it!
