Aces High II: Version 2.13 Patch 1 Released
The 2.13 Patch 1 release of Aces High II is ready.
Check the information page for more details concerning this release and, optionally, information needed to manually update the game.
As a reminder, if you are running a software firewall, and cannot connect after the patch is installed, you need to re-allow the game back through your firewall.
If you are running Windows Vista, you may need to manually download and install the update or run the game as an administrator for the game auto-updater to work properly.
If you have installed the high resolution texture package for version 2.13, you will not need to update it for this patch.

Aces High II: Login Manager and Game News
This morning we will be transferring the login/game manager to a temporary server while we upgrade the existing server. We expect this to take approximately 15 minutes, providing all goes according to plan.
During the transfer period you will not be able to login into the game nor see any open arenas. We appreciate your patience and will do everything we can to insure this downtime is minimized.

Aces High II: Version 2.13 Released

Aces High II Bits and Pieces
When we announced the ability to allow you to change your game ID, we inadvertently left out the notification about cleaning up the game ID database and releasing all ID's which were in non-active accounts.
As many of you may be aware, Hurricane Ike is bearing down on Texas. It is quite possible for this storm to have an impact on HiTech Creations . There is the possibility of extended power outages, causing problems, as well as general communications being affected. Down times are not out of the question. We will do what we can to minimize this, but it may not be within our power to avoid these issues.

Aces High II Game News
You may now change your game ID from within the game! In order to do so, you must be online and connected to any of our online arenas to proceed. You may also check to see if a game ID is available by using the radio dot command ".test id gameid", where "gameid" is the ID you wish to check for availability.
1) From the tower, bring up the clip board and select the "O'Club" option.
2) Then select the "Change Game ID" option. Type in the game ID you want to change to. If the game ID is available, a warning box will pop up notifying you of the ramifications of changing your game ID.
3) If the game is already taken, a warning box indicating as such, will pop up.
Please note, the following conditions.
If you are muted or have lost your chat/voice priveleges, then you will not be able to change your game ID.
You can only change your game ID once every thirty days.September 2, 2008

Aces High II to Add Triple Screen Support
The next version of Aces High will feature support for the Matrox TripleHead2Go, a graphics expansion module that allows users to link together up to three monitors for the ultimate wide screen gaming experience.
In addition, Version 2.13 will add much improved field-of-view support allowing true support for single monitor widescreen displays without cropping or stretching of the display.

HiTech Creations News: Score and Squad Pages update
Score and Squad pages should be back online now. They may bounce up and down for short periods of time as we work on the bulletin board, but they should be fine otherwise.
The AHWiki survived this issue with no losses or damage. As it depends on the bulletin board user database for logging in, we cannot bring it online until the bulletin board is repaired.

HiTech Creations News: Bulletin Board, AHWiki, Score Pages update
It's become apparent to us that the damage to the BBS is too extensive to be fixed through normal means. We have decided that we need to roll the board back to a previous backup from the beginning of May. We will then try to append all posts that have been made since that time(the beginning of May) and are recoverable but we can make no assurances as to whether that operation will be successful.
Our best estimate on how long this will take is anywhere from one day to a week, starting this afternoon.

HiTech Creations News: Bulletin Board, AHWiki, Score Pages update
We had hoped all this would be up and running today, but it does not appear that is going to happen. The problem, which initially caused this, was due to a file system being damaged when the server was inadvertently powered off during an upgrade to our back-up power supplies.
Restoring databases and revuilding indexes is time comsuming due to the size of our bulletin board. We appreciate everyone's patience and we will continue to work to get everything back online as soon as possible.
We expect to have this resolved by Friday of this week.

Hitech Creations introduces AHWiki
Today we are happy to announce the opening of a new wiki, a community driven collaborative encyclopedia, called AHWiki. AHWiki is an information source for all that is Aces High, plus many related subjects like aviation and military history, and everything inbetween.
Getting started is as simple as logging in, using your Aces High II bulletin board ID and password (your game ID and password will not work!). If you just want to browse and read, then you do not need to log in. Logging in allows you to edit and add content to AHWiki.
We are excited about the possibilites this tool brings to our information exchange base and look forward to it growing.
